ALTADENA MUSICIANS and PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF ALTADENA present “Stand Up for Wellness” – Comedy Night Brings HEALarious (Healing with Humor) Comedy to the Altadena Music Center, Benefiting Altadena Musicians

Netflix and HBO comedian Melinda Hill headlines a comedy residency sharing her special brand of HEALarity (healing through humor crowd work) which characters, crowd work, dance and special guests on Oct. 2, continuing a First Fridays series running monthly through Dec. 4.

PASADENA, CA — ALTADENA MUSICIANS and PUBLIC DISPLAYS OF ALTADENA present Stand Up for Wellness – Melinda Hill & Friends, an interactive HEALarious (healing with humor) group healing experience that inspires audiences to fall head over heels for their own
lives, on Friday, Oct. 2, 2026, at the Altadena Music Center. Doors open at 7:15 PM, with the show beginning at 7:30 PM. The event is part of a monthly comedy series (the third event in a First Fridays comedy series continuing through Dec. 4.)

Created by comedian Melinda Hill (Netflix, HBO and her comedy special Inappropriate), Stand Up for Wellness offers uplifting and inspiring comedy and keynotes at theaters and wellness/healing spaces around the world that empowers folks to recreate and rewrite the story of their lives and live their best lives now. A one -of-a-kind live experience designed to help audiences alchemize their heartbreak into art— with epic special guests joining throughout the night. Partial proceeds from the event will benefit Altadena Musicians.

“I’m delighted to be teaming up with Brandon and Altadena Musicians with the aligned goal of providing love, light, art and healing for the community,” said Hill.

The show is all ages. Advance tickets are $15; tickets at the door are $20.

About Altadena Musicians – Altadena Musicians is a nonprofit founded by Brandon Jay and operated by Jay and four Los Angeles women, friends who helped launch Brandon’s ideas and efforts in the immediate aftermath of the Eaton fire. In the days following the devastating event, Brandon began asking for donations of instruments and distributing those instruments into the hands of Altadena and Pacific Palisades musicians who were impacted by the fires. Altadena Musicians is fiscally sponsored by Creative Visions Foundation (501c3), dedicated to supporting musicians and building community through the arts, music workshops and performances in
Altadena.
