The Original Farmers Market’s annual Thursday Night Summer Music Series in July is dedicated to “Altadena Musicians Month,” honoring musicians impacted by the January wildfires. All bands performing this month include members directly affected by the fires.

The series partners with Instrumental Giving, a nonprofit founded by composer Brandon Jay and Gwendolyn Sanford, who lost their home and studio in the Eaton fire. Instrumental Giving connects musicians who lost instruments with donors. The organization will collect donations, sell vinyl records, and accept monetary contributions at each July performance, with the Original Farmers Market also contributing $3,000.

The lineup features Kenny Sara & The Sounds of New Orleans, Quazar and the Bamboozled, Lil’ Mo and The Dynaflos, The Moontones, and the Instrumental Giving Teen Bands, which include young musicians affected by the fires. The event aims to provide entertainment while supporting the recovery of the local music community.
