Altadena Musicians launches program to help musicians replace instruments lost to LA Fires

Our heart is filled with your trust in sharing your stories of lost gear with us; the overwhelming response of generous, kind offers to meet these needs.
We Hear You
Our new registry database has been created and our app is being developed, which will facilitate donors and musicians connecting directly. We hope to launch that within the month. Until then, we are processing all the requests manually to connect people right away to get instruments back into the hands of the musicians who need them.
What’s Next
We are responding to each of you personally as you share your stories.
If you have not done so already, please register:
- Musicians https://altadenamusicians.org/musicians-registry/
- Donors https://altadenamusicians.org/donate/
We promise! It’s a very simple form so that we capture your contact information as well as a list of your items; you can easily copy and paste from your initial inquiry.
For Musicians:
Let us know if there is something that will help you the most right now while we work on the longer-term needs.
Remember, there is no limit to how many times you can update your requests.
The only requirement for approval processing is a document that shows proof of residency in an affected fire zipcode; and some kind of document that reflects any fire relief support you are getting – whether a homeowner, renter, teacher, student.
It’s important to Altadena Musicians that we protect you from anyone trying to take advantage of this devastation.
Once approved, you will be sent to the registry – this is what will connect you and donors directly. Until the app is up, we will continue to do this manually through the website and email.
The response from supporters has been amazing. Know that we are with you for the long-term, and for every step of the way.
