THE GIFT photography exhibit at La Luz de Jesus Gallery at WACKO

Join us on Saturday January 31st, on the anniversary of the Eaton Fires, from 2pm to 5pm for a charitable photography-based pop-up in our gallery.

Photographer Brian Knappmiller shot powerful images of Addi Somekh’s balloons in the ashes of the Eaton fire, including the ashes of Addi’s own home.

Despite the vast horror of the event, communities across Los Angeles banded together to support those who lost nearly everything, there are still struggles due to the devastation. Part of these struggles are internal reflections about ownership and stability to which balloon artist poignantly connects through visual metaphor of the balloon in these spaces.

100% of the profits of the Gift prints will go to the Altadena Musicians Foundation.
